When does cyclamen bloom?

1. Flowering period

(1) Its flowering period is mainly concentrated in winter. Flowers begin to appear in December and the flowering period can last from February to March. If properly cared for, it can bloom for up to five months. During this stage, important festivals such as New Year's Day, Spring Festival, and Lantern Festival are included to add to the festive atmosphere.

(2) In addition, depending on the environmental conditions, it is possible for it to bloom in summer. However, winter is still the most important stage.

2. Things to note during flowering period

(1) Temperature: Because the flowering period is in winter, temperature becomes one of the key factors in maintenance. During the day, it is best to keep the temperature between 18 and 22 degrees. At night, it is best between ten and twelve degrees. If the temperature is lower than seven or eight degrees, the flowers will bloom, but the flowering period will be delayed accordingly. If it is lower, below five or six degrees, the plant may not bloom, and even if it blooms, the quality of the flowers will be poor. Therefore, temperature is the first thing to ensure.

(2) Water: With the arrival of the flowering period, the plant's demand for water will also increase accordingly. If there is a lack of water, the flowering period will also be delayed and the leaves will turn yellow. So, when we observe that the soil in the pot has become dry, we need to replenish water in time. When watering, avoid watering the bulb to avoid rot.

(3) Fertilizer: From the formation of flower buds to flowering, plants need nutrient supply. At this time, it is best to fertilize regularly to ensure that the ratio of flowers to leaves is one to one. Of course, you don’t need to do it too often, once a week to ten days is enough.

(4) Light: This plant itself loves light, and it naturally needs light during the flowering period. Placing it in a place with sufficient light can promote the development of flowers.
