When does the lily bloom?

When does the lily bloom?

1. Flowering period

In fact, this plant can bloom all year round in suitable places, and its flowering period is very long. However, if it is an area with distinct seasons, its flowering period is generally concentrated from May to October.

2. Maintenance during flowering period

1. Preparation of soil. If we want to take good care of it until it grows beautiful flowers, we need to adjust the medium in which it is cultivated first. You can choose to mix some garden soil, coal slag and fine sand together, and then make it into a culture medium. At this time, you can also add some leaf mold appropriately. Because it is afraid of waterlogging, and if it is heavy clay soil, it will easily cause its roots to rot after water accumulates. Therefore, the soil must be loose or fertile, and able to drain effectively. This plant has a long flowering period and requires a lot of nutrients. Only fertile soil can meet its flowering needs.

2. Lighting arrangement. This plant requires a lot of light to grow. In late autumn, winter and spring, because the surrounding temperature is not too high, you can let it be exposed directly to the sun. This is beneficial to its own biological function, better forming flower buds, and then flowering. If it is a hot summer, we probably need to block 30% of the sunlight for it. After it blooms, you can place it in the house for viewing, and place it next to the southeast-facing door or window. This can delay its flowering period and increase the number of flowers.

3. Temperature arrangement. This plant likes cold and cool temperatures very much and is most afraid of hot temperatures, so it will generally stop growing slowly in the summer; at the same time, it cannot accept temperatures that are too low. When the temperature is lower than the humidity, it will begin to hibernate. Generally speaking, the most suitable temperature for it is 15 to 28 degrees. As long as the daytime temperature does not exceed 28 degrees and the temperature difference between day and night is relatively large, the flower buds will be easier to differentiate.
