After the Qingming Festival, we strengthened the management of water and fertilizer and transplanted them into the flower beds after the Grain Rain.

Aquatic flowers, such as potted lotus and water lilies, can be brought indoors after Qingming Festival in the north. July Flower Calendar - Hosta

There are often continuous high temperatures and summer droughts with strong sunshine.

This month, please stop using organic liquid fertilizers for various herbaceous flowers such as salvia, dahlia, canna, cockscomb, etc.

The white orchid and Milan flowers grown in the north can be properly shaped and pruned. It grows vigorously in midsummer and recovers quickly. For plum blossoms, peach blossoms, camellias, jasmine, etc., pay attention to controlling water to prevent them from growing too tall, and to promote the differentiation of flower buds so that they will bloom more in winter and spring.

The temperature is high and the humidity is high this month, which is suitable for the propagation of many kinds of herbaceous flowers by cuttings, such as roses, hibiscus, camellias, night-blooming lilacs, etc. The cutting medium should be coarse and loose to achieve a high survival rate.

August Flower Calendar - Osmanthus

Weather characteristics: Autumn begins in the early part of this month and the weather turns cooler, but there are often high temperatures and summer droughts, so we still need to pay attention to drought resistance, waterlogging prevention, insect control, and disease prevention.

Late chrysanthemums should be topped off for the last time in early January. At this time, the flower buds of Amaryllis begin to form, so apply fertilizer in time. For gladiolus and tuberose, apply fertilizer immediately after cutting the flowers to maintain the bulbs.

For fruit-bearing flowers in autumn and winter, it is advisable to apply more phosphorus fertilizer. Water the osmanthus with fully decomposed organic fertilizer from mid-month onwards, and continue to do so once a week until mid-September before the flowers bloom. For potted camellia, keep one or two strong and straight buds on each branch, and remove the rest one by one.
