How to grow lisianthus in water

Branch arrangement

First, simply tidy up the branches of the lisianthus that you are going to grow in water, that is, cut off some of the worn flowers and leaves. You only need to keep the leaves outside the vase. If they extend into the vase, you must cut them off.

Moisture Management

Cut the roots of the entire bouquet at a 45-degree angle, then add preservative liquid to the vase water. The water should be changed every three days and the roots should be trimmed every two days. There doesn't need to be too much water in the vase, and the water level cannot be lower than one-third of the bottle's volume. If you don't use special preservative liquid, you need to change the water once a day.

Placement environment

The lisianthus grown in water is different from that grown in soil. Places with good ventilation are not conducive to the freshness of the branches. Wind will accelerate the drying of flowers and branches and leaves, and once the water evaporates too quickly, the survival time will be greatly shortened.

Disinfection and cleaning

When arranging flowers for the first time and changing water, the hydroponic container must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to eliminate all bacteria living in the bottle and inside, creating the best environmental conditions for the survival of lisianthus in water, and preventing root rot due to bacterial growth, which will cause the plant to lose freshness and gradually wither.

Key points for water cultivation of lisianthus

Water-grown lisianthus cannot be sprayed because poor absorption will cause soaking rot. And keep away from the air conditioner to avoid excessive water loss.
