What to do if aloe leaves turn yellow

What to do if aloe leaves turn yellow

1. Water spraying to increase humidity

Reason: Aloe vera is a typical moisture-loving plant and grows well in a relatively humid environment. However, if it stays in a dry environment for too long, it will not be able to grow normally and its leaves will show signs of yellowing.

Solution: When the area where you grow aloe vera is too dry, you should take certain measures to increase the air humidity, such as placing a basin filled with clean water around it, spraying some water mist on its leaves, etc.

2. Control watering

Reason: Although aloe vera likes moisture, it is also afraid of waterlogging and cannot grow normally in soil that is too moist. Because the water content of soil that is too moist will be very high, the oxygen content will be reduced, thus affecting the breathing of the roots. The respiration of the roots is inhibited, and they cannot absorb nutrients from the soil normally. The leaves will also turn yellow due to lack of nutrients.

Solution: If the situation is not very serious, you can loosen the soil of the aloe vera to increase the oxygen content in the soil and make the moisture in the soil evaporate quickly. If the situation is serious, you need to remove the plant from the soil, clean up the damaged roots, and then plant it again with new soil.

3. Apply fertilizer in time

Reason: Although aloe vera does not particularly like fertilizer, not applying fertilizer for a long time will cause it to lack nutrients and make it difficult to grow normally.

Solution: Apply some light fertilizer to it first, don’t add too much at a time, wait until its condition improves, and then fertilize it according to scientific methods.
