Complete guide to hydroponic cultivation of spring taro!

Hydroponics methods and processes

Although spring taro is a flower with a hydroponic survival rate of up to 100%, it does not mean that it can survive by just throwing it in water without management. Therefore, it still requires some methods and techniques to operate. Come and learn about it.

Prepare

First, clean the spring taro that has been separated from the soil environment, cut off the old, diseased, and rotten leaves on the above-ground part, and cut off the old roots, weak roots, and dead roots on the underground rhizome. Just keep some fresh rhizomes.

Colonization

You need to buy some Yuhua stones in the flower market, which are generally used to fix the spring taro plants in the planting basket. One thing to note at this time is that the roots of the spring taro need to be carefully and evenly inserted into the round holes at the bottom. Secondly, place the planted plants into a matching culture container, either a vase or a glass bottle.

nourish

Fill the vase with water, preferably not enough to cover the planting basket, and then wait for about a week for new roots to sprout. Remember to clean up necrotic roots and leaves in time, and place the flower pot in a place with sufficient light. If you start hydroponics in summer, avoid direct sunlight.

Maintenance precautions

The culture water needs to be replaced every seven days, and the nutrient solution cycle is the same; it likes sunshine but remember to provide appropriate shade in summer; the temperature should not be lower than 5 degrees Celsius in winter; the environment should be mainly warm, and the air humidity should be kept not dry.
