The hydroponic steps of copper coin grass

first step

Choose pennywort with roots. At the same time, for the sake of beauty, flower lovers can choose pennywort of different heights!

Step 2

Put the pennywort into a prepared container, then press down the roots of the pennywort with pebbles and add water to the pennywort.

Aren’t these two simple steps very simple?

However, if you want to make the pennywort grow well, you need some tips!

Tips for hydroponic cultivation of copper coin grass

1. You don’t need to change the water too frequently. If you change it too frequently, it will not be good for the pennywort. Basically, make sure there is enough water in the basin and change it once a week. In summer, you can change the water more frequently to prevent mosquitoes from laying eggs in it.

2. The pennywort likes sunshine and has sufficient sunlight. It can grow rapidly and does not need fertilizer. Make sure it receives an average of more than 4 hours of sunlight per day.

3. There is no big requirement for fertilization. You can add some nutrient solution appropriately, such as quick-acting fertilizer - Huabao No. 2, or slow-release fertilizer - Magic Fertilizer, etc. If you have goldfish at home, you can pour the water changed from the goldfish into the water basin of the pennywort to make the pennywort grow better.

4. 16-24℃ is the suitable temperature for pennywort. Too low will inhibit growth. Insects are more likely to grow in water that is too high.

5. When growing pennywort in water, the yellow leaves will fall into the water and slowly rot, deteriorating the water quality. Therefore, we should check the water tank regularly and remove any moldy leaves as soon as possible.

6. The vigorous growth of pennywort can spread to an entire basin of water in a short time. After the pennywort fills the basin, the overly dense pennywort should be divided and transplanted. The purpose of doing this is to prevent the mature leaves from blocking the light of the young leaves and affecting the normal metabolism of the plant.

Precautions for hydroponic cultivation of copper coin grass

1. The pennywort is suitable for extensive cultivation. As long as it is given enough sunlight and water, it can grow very fast.

2. If you are indoors and there is no sunlight, you can use light instead.

3. The water needs to be tap water that has been settled for two hours, or used every other day.
