1. Infection with powdery mildew

Reason: Black Magic is rarely infected with powdery mildew, but if there are succulents infected with powdery mildew around it, it may be infected. At first, white spots will appear on the leaves. Then, as the disease progresses, the spots will gradually expand and connect together. White hyphae will also appear on the spots, eventually causing the leaves to fall off.

Solution: Strengthen ventilation and take preventive measures. Do not water at night to avoid water accumulation between the leaves. If the situation is very serious, special pesticides need to be sprayed. Fungicides such as Bailitong and Fenbuconazole can have a good effect.

2. Infection with scale insects

Reason: The leaves of Black Magic Plant look like they have white spots. It may also be infected by scale insects. Their eggs will attach to the leaves, like white spots, which seriously affect the ornamental value.

Solution: If the disease has just started, you can remove it manually first, using tweezers, toothpicks and other tools to remove the pests.
