What to do if Monstera doesn't grow leaves in hydroponics

What to do if Monstera doesn't grow leaves in hydroponics

1. Change water regularly

Reason: The growth of hydroponic Monstera mainly depends on water, and the nutrients in it can support its growth. If the water is not changed in time, there will not be enough nutrients, growth problems will occur, and it will naturally be difficult to grow leaves. And if the water is not changed for a long time, the water quality may become turbid, which will have a greater impact on growth.

Solution: Change the water regularly. In spring and autumn, change the water about every 4-5 days. In summer, the temperature is hot and the evaporation rate is fast, so change the water about every 3 days. In autumn and winter, change the water every 5-7 days to keep the water clean.

2. Exposure to light

Reason: Although Monstera is a shade-tolerant plant, its growth will be affected if it is kept in a dark environment for a long time, resulting in the inability to synthesize nutrients and naturally unable to grow leaves.

Solution: Exposure to soft light, especially during the growth period, is beneficial to growth. However, you must be careful not to expose your clothes to the sun in the summer to prevent burns.

3. Add nutrients

Reason: If there are no leaves for a long time, it may be because no nutrient solution is added and there is no nutrients to support growth.

Solution: In addition to regular water changes to provide nutrients, you also need to add nutrient solution.
