Why do hyacinths grow too tall?

1. Insufficient light

Cause: Insufficient light causes hyacinth to grow too tall, which is caused by not moving it to a place with sufficient light in time after germination.

Solution: Place the hyacinth in a sunny location where it can generally receive sunlight all day. But be sure to avoid direct sunlight at noon, and don't expose it to the sun in the afternoon, as these will be detrimental to its growth. You can provide appropriate shade, or move it to a cool place when the light is strong.

2. The temperature is not enough

Reason: The temperature is not high enough to allow the plant to develop stems only, without supplying nutrients to leaves and flowers.

Solution: Hyacinth has different temperature requirements depending on the period. If it is leaf growth, 10-12℃ is generally appropriate. If the buds are blooming, the temperature needs to be kept at 15-28℃. Note that temperatures above 28°C will inhibit plant growth, so the temperature should not be too high.

3. Too much nutrient solution

Cause: This is usually caused by too much nutrient solution during hydroponics, and is also one of the reasons why hyacinths grow too tall.

Solution: Change the water for hyacinth in time and temporarily stop using the nutrient solution. When using the nutrient solution in the future, you must dilute it first to ensure that its concentration is not too high before use.
