Why is the lucky tree shedding its leaves?

Why is the lucky tree shedding its leaves?

1. Metabolism

The lucky tree does not have serious leaf drop. It is relatively normal for only one leaf to fall off after a long time. This is because it is an evergreen plant. It is not that the leaves never fall off, but they do fall off at regular intervals. This is a normal metabolism. The difference is the quantity and time. Generally speaking, normal shedding occurs one piece at a time, and the old leaves at the bottom fall off.

2. Aging Update

If the interval between two fallen leaves is relatively long, it can be basically judged as an aging renewal. Normal leaf fall will cause yellowing and shrinkage before falling, and the entire leaf will fall off.

3. Improper watering

Reason: When the root system is injured, the plant will shed more leaves during self-regulation in order to reduce water evaporation. The interval between two leaves falling is short, sometimes only a few days. This kind of root injury is caused by over- or under-watering.

Solution: If you water too little, you need to add water in time. If you water too much, you need to control the amount of watering. For water management, it is recommended to keep it slightly dry rather than too wet, and it would be better to water it thoroughly when it is dry.

4. Improper fertilization

Cause: This phenomenon will occur if too much fertilizer is applied during maintenance, or if the applied fertilizer contains raw fertilizer that has not been fermented.

Solution: You can reduce the fertilizer content in the potting soil by watering and washing the fertilizer.
