Why do the tips of spider plants' leaves dry up?

Why do the tips of spider plants' leaves dry up?

1. Dry growing environment

Reason: If the environment where the spider plant is grown is too dry, its leaf tips will easily dry out. Because it likes to grow in a humid environment, if the cultivation environment is very dry, the leaves will not only dry up but also wither.

Solution: At this time, you need to increase the humidity of the breeding environment. You can spray water on the leaves or next to the plants appropriately to effectively improve the dryness of the environment. However, be careful when spraying water. Do not do it at night or when the temperature is low, so as to avoid frostbite on the leaves.

2. Improper watering

Reason: Many flower lovers have a misunderstanding when watering, that is, they stop watering when they see that the surface of the potting soil is moist. If you water the plant like this for a long time, the roots of the plant will not be able to absorb water. Its roots will gradually wither and the tips of its leaves will dry up.

Solution: Be sure to water thoroughly when watering. There is no need to water it frequently. Generally, watering should be done after the soil becomes dry. It is best to follow the principle of watering thoroughly when the soil is dry.

3. Soil compaction

Reason: Once the soil for growing spider plants becomes compacted, no matter how much water you pour on it, it will be of no use as the water will be released through the exhaust holes.

Solution: Change the pot once every one or two years of cultivation, preferably in spring or autumn.
