What to do if gardenia leaves have black spots

What to do if gardenia leaves have black spots

1. Disease problem

(1) Solution: This is the most likely reason and is also very common. The main disease is "leaf spot", which everyone has probably heard of more or less. It occurs more frequently in spring and autumn. When the disease occurs, some black spots will appear on the leaves, which look like black dots from a distance. If it is allowed to develop, it will be more than just a black spot. The dot will grow bigger and bigger, and eventually become a large mass.

(2) Solution: If this disease is the cause, then you first need to cut off all the leaves that have black spots and then dispose of them together. This prevents them from infecting other leaves. Then, you need to spray some medicine, such as carbendazim solution.

2. Mildew of bacteria

(1) Specific reasons: This situation is closely related to the environment surrounding the flowers. If the ventilation conditions are not good, coupled with poor lighting, its prevention ability will eventually be very weak. Then, some harmful fungi will become moldy. Next, black spots will appear on the leaves of the plant.

(2) Solution: If the plant is indoors, it must be ventilated and provided with fresh air. If the light is not good, be sure to take it outside to expose it to the sun for more time.

3. Moisture problem

(1) Specific reasons: Mainly due to excessive water. Water accumulation in the basin can also cause the same problem.

(2) Solution: Observe the condition of the soil to see if there is too much water. If so, the amount of water must be adjusted during subsequent maintenance.
