What are the cultivation methods and precautions of Cineraria

Introduction to Cineraria

Cineraria belongs to the Asteraceae family. It usually uses three methods of reproduction: sowing propagation, cutting propagation and division propagation, but the most commonly used method is sowing propagation.

For double-petaled varieties, you can use the cutting propagation method. There are more potted plants, and the common ones are rose-red souvenir, purple souvenir and magenta clown.

Cultivation method of Cineraria

Cineraria prefers a warm and humid growing environment and requires a good ventilation environment during maintenance. It is not very resistant to high temperatures and needs proper shade in summer. The temperature usually needs to be kept at around 10-15 degrees. When planting, loose and fertile soil is usually used.

Watering method

When watering cineraria, it is necessary to do it in moderation and keep the soil moist at ordinary times. During the growing season, the amount of water can be appropriately increased. It is best to water it once every 3 days or so.

Fertilization method

Cineraria needs to be fertilized appropriately at ordinary times. During the growing period, it needs to be fertilized every 7-10 days. The fertilizer used should not be too concentrated to prevent root burns.

Pruning methods

During the maintenance period, cineraria needs to be pruned. Some dead flowers and yellow branches and leaves should be cut off, and the branches and leaves that affect the shape of the plant should be pruned, which can increase its ornamental value.

Things to note when growing Cineraria

When caring for cineraria, you need to be careful. When planting, you must use soil that is rich in humus and has good drainage. This will allow it to grow better, and you need to repot it every one or two years.
