What to do if the cherry blossoms don't bloom

What to do if the cherry blossoms don't bloom

1. Change the soil

Although it is not very demanding on the soil, the owner is best to carefully find a loose and moist place to plant it. Only in such a place can its roots thrive and the flowers will be more dense.

2. Control watering

Because its roots are not very deep, you need to water it more often in the summer, otherwise the water will evaporate quickly. During its growth period, too much or too little water is not good. Too much water will make the branches thin, and the leaves will grow densely but will not bloom. Too little water will make the whole tree look lacking in nutrition and will bear fruit prematurely.

3. Provide proper shade

If you want it to grow beautiful flower buds, don't let the sun shine on it for a long time in spring, summer and autumn. If the temperature is very high, the leaves will become smaller, the branches will not be very long, the leaves will fall off easily, and the growth will not be normal, so there will be no flowers. It grows in temperate and subtropical zones, which are warm but not very hot, so if the temperature exceeds 34 degrees Celsius in summer, its growth will be problematic. If the temperature is lower than 4 degrees Celsius in winter, it may die. So if you want it to bloom normally, it is best to keep the surrounding temperature between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.

4. Precision controlled fertilization

You should regularly fertilize it with some light fertilizer, not too much, but enough times, so that all the ingredients are complete and the nutrition is in place. And after applying the fertilizer, keep the leaves and flowers clean. If your tree does not bloom, it is likely that too much nitrogen fertilizer has been applied, because this fertilizer will help the growth of leaves and inhibit the appearance of flowers, so it is best to use phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. Winter and early spring are the most important times to apply fertilizers.

5. Prune frequently

If you want your cherry blossom buds to have a higher chance of blooming, you should regularly cut off some of the yellow leaves, pinch off the tips of the flowers when they are about to bloom, and also trim some of the branches at the bottom.
