What to do if the green radish is frostbitten

What to do if the green radish is frostbitten

1. Causes of frostbite:

The cause of frostbite is nothing more than low temperature. Therefore, we need to pay special attention when maintaining it. In addition, some improper maintenance details in winter may also become factors that cause frostbite of green radish.

If we keep the green radish in an indoor environment with too little light for a long time, this may not only cause the stems of the green radish to grow wildly, the internodes to increase, and the appearance of the green radish to become sparse and scattered, but the white and yellow spots on the leaves will become smaller and lighter in color, and may even cause the spots to disappear completely until they fade to dark green. Because the green radish likes a warm, humid and slightly hot environment, we should keep the temperature of the green radish not lower than 15 degrees Celsius in winter. At the same time, we should also keep the soil in the pot of the green radish moist, and often spray water mist on the leaves of the green radish to increase the humidity of the surrounding air, so as to facilitate the growth of the green radish roots.

2. Treatment methods:

1. First, we should move the green radish to a warm indoor place. If conditions permit, we'd better control the indoor temperature between 20 and 30 degrees.

2. Next, we can choose to move the green radish to an almost sealed balcony to receive sunlight when the sun is shining at noon. Remember not to place the green radish outdoors in the cold winter. If you do this, it will be frozen to death.

3. Then, if we have a humidifier, it will provide a suitable environment for the growth of green radish. If we don’t have a humidifier, we can choose to spray water on the leaves of the green radish frequently.

4. Next, we’d better cut off some of the discolored leaves. Please note that you must be careful when cutting so as not to damage the aerial roots of the green radish.

5. Then, we must remember not to pour cold water directly on the roots of the green radish, but to pour clean water at about room temperature into the tray under the green radish pot, so that the green radish can choose the amount of water it absorbs by itself.

6. Finally, after our dedicated care, our beloved green ivy will surely recover to its vibrant state.
