What to do if purple root orchid does not bloom

Flowering period

Winter to spring.

Recently, many friends are looking forward to its blooming, but it just quietly lets you appreciate its leaves. Some friends reported that they had been taking care of their plants for many years but they had never seen any blooms, which made them very distressed. Now it is its flowering season again, but there is still no sign of blooming.

How to solve it

This may be due to your farming method being wrong. Here are some conditions for flowering. You can compare them and see if there is something wrong with your maintenance.

1. Temperature: The temperature should be controlled between 10 and 25 degrees. Not too low, nor too high.

2. Watering: If you want it to bloom, don’t water it too much. Too much water can also cause the roots of plants to rot. The soil should be 50% wet and 50% dry. It is also best to have a fixed amount of watering. Don't water too much this time and too little next time. This is not good for any plant.

3. Soil: Soil is the foundation for growing plants, and if you want the plants to bloom, soil is also very important. When choosing soil, be sure to choose sandy loam with good drainage and rich in humus. Many friends think that the flowering of plants has little to do with the soil, which is a wrong idea.

4. Ventilation: Ventilation is an issue that many novice flower growers tend to overlook. This plant requires a smooth ventilation environment, which is not only conducive to flowering, but also can effectively reduce the invasion of pests and diseases.

5. Sunlight: Avoid excessive exposure to the sun. When the midday sun is too strong in winter, you can also block it in time.
