What to do if beans dry up

What to do if beans dry up

The phenomenon and causes of beans drying up

If the beans dry up, it may be due to wilt disease. The main manifestation is that some water-like spots appear on the four circles of the leaves starting from the bottom of the plant, and then the leaves will slowly turn yellow and dry up. Moreover, once infected with Fusarium wilt, cracks will appear at the roots of the bean plants, and the vascular tissue of the plants will even gradually turn brown. If the environment is relatively humid, some plants may even have some red mold on their surface.

If stem rot occurs in beans, it will cause the beans to dry up, and the stems will gradually turn yellow-brown until they dry up. If the flowers are infected at the base of the stem, the seedlings of the plant will die. If the branches and vines above are infected, the branches and vines will dry up and gradually shrink.

If the plant is infected with this disease, it can be prevented and controlled together with gangrene and base rot.

Solution

If the above situation occurs, we need to rotate crops with onions, garlic and other things for a certain number of years when planting, and we also need to apply lime powder to optimize the acidic soil to reduce the incidence of diseases. It is best to use medication to prevent and treat it together.

If it is caused by stem rot, remember to increase the application of potassium fertilizer when fertilizing to improve the plant's resistance. As for medication, you can spray 600 times diluted 40% polysulfide suspension or 100 times diluted 40% triadimefon and carbendazim during the reproductive period. Generally, spray once every 10 to 15 days, and four or five times will be enough.
