Why are the leaves of mirror grass curling?

Why are the leaves of mirror grass curling?

Improper water and fertilizer

Lack of water: Mirror grass is a water-loving plant. It likes sufficient water to nourish the roots and leaves. Only when there is enough water can the leaves sparkle and reflect your figure like a mirror.

Lack of fertilizer: Although mirror grass is not suitable for nitrogen fertilizer, it is still necessary to apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. If no fertilizer is applied for a long time, the plant will be malnourished and the leaves will become wrinkled and curled. Think about those countries in Africa where there is still hunger. Aren’t there children with bad skin and wrinkles because they don’t have enough food to eat? The same goes for mirror grass. How can leaves that are not well fed be shiny and radiant?

Temperature is too low

Mirror grass is a cold-resistant plant, but when the temperature is too low in winter, the leaves are in poor condition, which is equivalent to the fact that people's skin will lack moisture when the temperature drops and the air is dry in winter.

Therefore, if the temperature is too low, it is easy to cause the leaves of mirror grass to curl and wrinkle.

Insufficient light

The leaves of mirror grass are darker in color because they are rich in chlorophyll. However, if there is not enough sunlight for photosynthesis, the color of the leaves will turn light green or even gray, and the leaves may curl up and the edges may curl toward the back.

Solution

Water and fertilizer treatment

Water to keep the soil moist; spray water mist around the plant and keep the air humidity above 80% to allow the leaves to absorb water. The natural light of leaves is absolutely inseparable from the nourishment of water. Believe this.

Fertilize, apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizers to make the plants round and plump, and grow into round-faced beauties with rosy cheeks.

Eat well and wear warm clothes

When the temperature is too low in winter, move the mirror grass to a place with slightly higher room temperature, preferably around 15°C, to maintain normal growth of the plant.

Increase lighting

Except for appropriate shade in the summer, full-sun maintenance is possible in spring, autumn and winter. With strong photosynthesis, the leaves will naturally be shiny and will not curl.
