What to do if the leaves of Green Bell wither

What to do if the leaves of Green Bell wither

The reason why the leaves of Green Bell wither and shrink

One is caused by dry air, excessive sunlight and high temperature.

This situation mainly occurs in summer and autumn, because spider plants like to grow in moist and semi-shaded environments. Once the air is too dry and the sunlight is unobstructed, and if the temperature is above 30°C, it is easy to cause the leaf tips of spider plants to wither and shrink.

The second is that the plant has not been repotted for a long time, causing the roots to grow directly to the wall of the pot. In an environment of high temperature, high drought or cold weather, it is easy to cause the tips of the roots to shrink and die, causing them to lose their proper absorption function, thus leading to the drying and shrinking of the leaf tips.

How to remedy the withering of the leaves of Green Bell

Because it is caused by dry air, strong sunlight and high temperature, you can move the plant to a semi-shaded environment, cut off the dead leaves, spray water on the leaves and the environment frequently, and the newly grown leaves can return to normal.

If the plant withers due to not repotting for a long time, you can first pour it out of the pot, cut off the dead leaves or necrotic parts of the leaves, pick out some of the old soil, delete some aging or necrotic roots, replace it with fresh potting soil, and place it in a cool, humid, semi-shaded environment. Pay attention to spraying water more and watering less, and the newly sprouted leaves of the plant will return to normal.
