1. AnthraxThis is an important disease of avocado. It is very harmful to the fruit and can also infect the leaves, flowers and young branches. Diseased fruits will first develop spots, which are generally no more than 5 mm in diameter and round in shape. After that, the lesions will gradually expand and become concave inward. When the fruit is ripe, it will also invade the flesh, causing it to rot. During the outbreak period, the diseased branches and leaves need to be cut off to prevent cross-infection. The fruit needs to be stored at low temperatures after harvesting and must be protected from damage during transportation. 2. ScabThis disease is similar to anthracnose. After being infected, round brown protrusions will appear, and then slowly turn into light purple. When the fruit is ripe, it will become concave in the middle and the skin will become rough. Although this disease does not affect its taste, it looks unsightly. In the early stages of the disease, brown spots will appear on the leaves and the surface will wrinkle. At this time, the leaves need to be cut off to prevent the situation from getting worse. At the same time, spray Bordeaux liquid, which can have a therapeutic effect. 3. Cercospora spot diseaseCercospora leaf spot disease mainly harms leaves, stems and fruits. Dead spots will form on the surface of the infected fruit, and then the skin will crack, which will allow other pathogens to invade and cause the flesh to rot. In the early stages of the disease, brown spots will appear on the leaves, with a diameter of 2-5 mm, then turn purple and spread to both sides of the leaves, with irregular shapes. After the disease occurs, copper preparations and myclobutanil should be sprayed in time to effectively prevent and control the disease. 4. Small hole shell fruit rotIn the early stages of this disease, red spots will appear on the fruit skin. Later, the bacteria will infect the inside of the fruit, and brown stripes will appear on the flesh, with purple-brown spots around the fruit stem. When it matures, the spots will turn black and sunken, the fruit will shrink, the surface will be covered with mycelium, the inside will rot, and it will emit an unpleasant odor. Once the disease is discovered, the diseased branches should be cut off immediately, dead branches and diseased fruits should be removed, and appropriate fertilizer should be applied to increase its disease resistance. |
