Where is agarwood suitable for planting?

Agarwood planting area

Agarwood generally grows in low-altitude mountain forests and is suitable for growing in warm and humid environments. It is distributed in Guangxi, Guizhou and other places in southwest my country.

Agarwood is suitable for growing in areas with relatively good rain and heat conditions, but the temperature cannot be too high, otherwise it will affect its normal growth. Since the temperature and humidity in the north do not meet the growth standards of agarwood, it is not suitable for its cultivation. It is mostly planted in the western hilly areas of the south. my country's Hainan Island is the most famous for its agarwood.

Agarwood planting conditions

Agarwood is suitable for planting in areas with warm climates. It grows best under conditions of an annual average temperature of 20 to 25 degrees Celsius. The annual rainfall needs to reach more than 1,600 mm to produce high-quality agarwood. Because it requires a high humidity environment to grow, it cannot be planted in most areas.

Key points of agarwood planting and management

1. Lighting:

Agarwood is a plant that has low requirements for light conditions. It grows well under daily soft light. If it is exposed to direct sunlight, it must be shaded in time.

2. Soil:

Agarwood is suitable for planting in soft soil with high water content. If the precipitation in that year is low and the soil is relatively dry, appropriate amount of artificial watering can be carried out to increase the moisture concentration.

3. Fertilizer:

Agarwood has low requirements for soil fertility. Since it is a tree with a long growth cycle, try to add farmyard manure or humus solution to the soil before planting to lay the foundation for the subsequent growth of the plant.
