Disease and Pest Control of Amomum villosum

Seedling blight

The nursery area is disinfected by spraying the surface with 2% formalin chemical solution. Please note that between March and April, you need to adjust the density of the plants, improve their drainage, and add burnt soil, wood ash and lime. When the disease first occurs, it is recommended to remove the diseased leaves and then spray 1:1:300 times Bordeaux mixture or other substances. Remember to do it once every 10 days. This will control the further development of the disease.

Leaf spot

One thing to note after harvesting the fruits is to remove the old seedlings that have died. In early winter, water should be sprayed in time to make the plants grow healthier and stronger. In the early stage of the disease, you can spray the plant with 1000 times diluted 50% thiophanate. Remember to spray once every 10 days until the disease is under control.

Fruit blight

Harvest and process diseased fruits in a timely manner to reduce the spread of pathogens to plants. In spring, everyone should pay attention to the drainage of the plants and add wood ash and lime to the plants in order to enhance the disease resistance of the fruit. During the young fruit stage, we need to separate the seedlings into ventilation ducts to improve ventilation conditions. Spray with Bordeaux mixture. Spray once every 10 days for 2-3 consecutive times. Remember to stop spraying before harvesting the fruits.

Yellow leafminer

Strengthen the management of water and fertilizer for the plants to promote their healthy and strong growth, with the aim of reducing the damage caused by borers; promptly remove the affected young bamboo shoots, gather them together and burn them; during the period when adult insects are laying eggs, you can use dimethoate emulsion, spraying 2-3 times continuously every 5-7 days.
