Diseases and Pests of Winter Corals and Their Control

Diseases of winter coral and their prevention and treatment

When we plant potted winter corals, we should pay attention to the high temperature season in summer. At this time, winter corals are prone to anthrax, which is caused by fungal infection. June to July is the rainy season of the year. At this time, the humidity in the air will be very high and the temperature will be relatively high. This environment is very suitable for bacterial growth, so fungal infection is very likely to occur during this period.

To prevent anthrax of winter coral, we must choose excellent and strong winter coral plants for planting. Do not place the winter coral pots very closely, as this will result in poor ventilation and easy breeding of bacteria, causing fungal infections. Once anthrax occurs in winter coral, the infected branches and leaves should be cut off immediately. It is best to burn the diseased branches to avoid reinfection. At the same time, sick winter corals should be sprayed with pesticides, such as carbendazim, etc.

Pests and their control in winter corals

Winter corals are generally more susceptible to harassment by aphids, which mainly eat the tender leaves of winter corals, absorb nutrients from the winter corals, and cause malnutrition of the winter corals. If they eat the roots of winter corals, they will also cause the death of winter corals. When we take care of winter corals on a daily basis, we should pay attention to whether the winter corals are infested by aphids. Aphids are very small and are generally black or green. When we find similar insects, we should pay attention and kill them in time. Generally, when aphids appear, you can use ordinary plant pesticides.
