The difference between creeper and trachelospermum

The difference between creeper and trachelospermum

1. Attributes

Ivy: Although it and Trachelospermum jasminoides are both woody vines, Ivy is a perennial large deciduous woody vine.

Trachelospermum: To be precise, it is an evergreen woody vine, which is somewhat different from ivy.

2. Flowers

Ivy: Its flowering period is June. Its flowers are very small, yellow-green in color, growing opposite to the leaves, and the flowers bloom in clusters.

Trachelospermum: Its flowering period is from March to July, which is longer, while that of Parthenocissus tricuspidata is only one month. Its flowers are white and fragrant, and their flowers are much larger than those of Parthenocissus tricuspidata. If the flowers of the former are petite and lively, then its flowers are elegant, simple and generous.

3. Leaves

Ivy: Its leaves are about 8 cm to 18 cm long, about 6 cm to 16 cm wide, and divided into three parts. Some leaves split directly into three small leaves. The leaves are green, but in autumn they turn red, like maple leaves. Its appearance is very similar to wild grape vines, and its branches can grow up to 18 meters long.

Trachelospermum: Its leaves are oval, pointed at both ends, about 2 cm to 10 cm long and about 1 cm to 4.5 cm wide. Its leaves are green all year round. Its branches can grow up to 10 meters long, which is not as long as that of creeper.
