How to sow nasturtium and how to germinate it

How to sow nasturtium and how to germinate it

1. Sowing time

It is important to choose a good time to sow nasturtium. You can sow it in spring from March to June, when the temperature is around 18-20 degrees, and the survival rate of sowing is very high. You can also choose to sow it in autumn, around late August or early September. After sowing, it will bloom around New Year's Day or Spring Festival.

2. Seed germination

Before sowing, you must select the seeds carefully, remove the dry and weak seeds, and leave the plump and full seeds. Such seeds have a high survival rate after sowing. First soak the seeds in warm water for about a day, then prepare a moist paper towel, put the seeds on it, keep it moist, and then cover it to germinate. Maintain an environment with suitable temperature, and the seeds will turn white after about a few days.

3. Prepare the soil

Before sowing, you also need to prepare suitable flower pots and soil. The flower pots should be breathable and have drainage holes at the bottom. The soil should be loose and breathable, and maintain good drainage.

4. Seedling cultivation and planting

Prepare the soil, sow the seeds in it, cover it with about 1 cm of soil, water it thoroughly to keep it moist, and it will germinate in about a week. After that, when the plant grows 2-3 true leaves, it can be transplanted into a pot. After the growth stabilizes in the later stage, it needs to be well maintained.
