How to care for the bonsai of tassel tree

Reproduction

If you want to propagate the tassel tree by sowing, the best time is mid-September to early October. Propagation by cuttings can be done from July to August at most.

Water and Soil

The tassel tree does not have high requirements for soil, but it grows best in loose sandy loam with sufficient water and nutrients. The tassel tree likes a humid and warm environment very much, but it is necessary to ensure that the water used for irrigation can flow and not accumulate.

Light and temperature

The fringe tree prefers warm climates but can tolerate cold temperatures. The tassel tree prefers sunlight but can tolerate shade as well.

Pest control

The biggest pest to the tassel tree is the beetle, which can chew through its roots and kill the entire plant. There are two most common defense methods: one is to use chlorpyrifos, mix it with water and pour it into the pot; the other is to spray its leaves with dichlorvos. The most common disease of the tassel tree is brown spot disease, which is extremely likely to occur in a highly humid and hot environment. If you find brown spots on the leaves, you need to strengthen the management of its environment. Observe the surrounding environment to see whether it is ventilated and light-permeable. Then observe the soil and flower pots to see whether fertilizers are applied in time and in appropriate amounts, and whether there is any water accumulation.

Two major functions

Ornamental effect

It is a good choice whether it is potted or outdoor greening.

Other effects

The fresh green leaves and flowers of the tassel tree can be used as tea to make drinks after being naturally dried; the fruits can be pressed raw to extract aromatic oil.
