Why do roses have red spider mites?

Why do roses have red spider mites?

1. Reasons

When red spider mites appear on roses, it usually means there is a problem with the maintenance environment. The eggs of red spider mites can safely survive the winter, and when the temperature rises in the spring, they will gradually hatch. If the maintenance environment is hot and humid at this time, it will easily attract red spider mites, especially in summer, when the breeding environment is very stuffy and the temperature is very high, which is very suitable for red spider mites to reproduce. In addition, roses have a lot of leaves, so insect pests will appear.

2. Performance

This kind of pest often appears on the back of the leaves, so it is difficult for people to find it. By the time people notice it, it has multiplied. It will eat into the liquid inside the leaves, and over time the leaves will turn yellow and dry up, and in severe cases, they may even fall off.

3. Prevention and treatment

After discovering that the rose has been invaded by red plants, the damaged branches and leaves should be cut off in time. Don't feel sorry for it at this time. After cutting them off, gather them together and burn them. Then buy dicofol emulsifiable concentrate and propargite, spray them according to the instructions, and use them regularly, preferably once every ten days. In addition, the roses should be pruned appropriately to avoid branches being too dense and affecting the ventilation of the plants.
