Pests of Kochia scoparia and their control

Kochia scoparia is not prone to diseases during its growth, but it still has insect pests. Kochia scoparia is easily attacked by aphids. When aphids are found, they can be repelled by artificial catching or biological control methods. In addition, you can also use 1000-1200 times of 40% malathion emulsifiable concentrate to spray for insect repellent, or use 500 times of 10% imidacloprid wettable powder to spray for control.

In addition to aphids, there are also caterpillars that cause damage, which mostly occur from the end of June to mid-August. When caterpillars are found to be causing trouble, you can use human pest control or pesticides such as spraying 1000-2000 times diluted 40% malathion emulsion or 4000 times diluted 20% Dingkang granules for prevention and control.

Weed Control of Kochia scoparia

Kochia is susceptible to being parasitized by dodder and will also grow many other weeds. When you find that Kochia scoparia has grown dodder or other weeds, you should remove and control them in time. Weed removal can mainly be carried out by manual control, mechanical control, chemical control, ecological control and other methods.

There are two main aspects of artificial control. Before sowing, carefully check whether there are weed seeds mixed in with the seeds and screen them out. Secondly, when weeds are found, they can be removed manually. Of course, the whole process will be more laborious.

Chemical control is actually the use of pesticides to remove weeds. There are many herbicides on the market that can be used to spray and kill weeds on Kochia scoparia. This will be faster, save time and effort, but it is necessary to prevent weed regrowth and drug poisoning.
