After a month, the outermost leaves began to soften and tended to melt. Maybe I watered it too much, and the soil was still damp when I touched it, so I simply turned it over to check the roots. What to do if the roots rot

Remove the Haworthia from the pot and cut off any rotten parts. After drying slightly, re-insert it into the sand bed and plant it in a pot after it takes root, or change the pot after it survives and starts to grow after being planted in the sand for a period of time.

Reduce watering. The roots of Haworthia are very sensitive, so it should not be planted too deep. Use well-drained soil. Poor drainage will cause root rot. Especially in winter, roots are prone to rot. Normally, just keep the soil slightly moist, but it's okay if it's slightly dry.
