There are many reasons why the fairy dan flower does not bloom, or even sheds leaves and rots roots. The most important reason is that these key points are ignored during the maintenance process:

Controlling temperature

The most suitable temperature for the growth of Ixora is 23~32℃. When the temperature is below 20℃, the growth of the plant will weaken and the flowering will decrease, but if there is sufficient sunlight, a small number of flower buds will still form. When the temperature is below 10℃, the growth of the plant will slow down. When the temperature is below 0℃, frost damage will occur and it will be difficult to bloom.

Apply fertilizer at the right time

The iris needs to be repotted and the soil changed once a year, and sufficient base fertilizer needs to be applied at this time. During the growing period, top dressing should be done 2 to 3 times.

During the flowering period, apply nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers once a week. After autumn, move it to the greenhouse for maintenance, place it on the balcony to get more sunlight, and control watering. It can hibernate when the temperature is above 8℃.

When repotting in spring, cut the branches short to promote the sprouting of branches. It must be placed outdoors in the sun, not in the shade, so as not to hinder the growth of branches and vines and make it difficult to bloom.
