The reasons and treatment methods for the yellowing of yellow cicada leaves

The reasons and treatment methods for the yellowing of yellow cicada leaves

1. Too much light

1. Reason: If the yellow cicada is left exposed to the sun for a long time in summer when the sunlight is strong and the illumination time is too long, its leaves may turn yellow, which is manifested as obvious yellow spots on the leaves and severe yellowing of the leaves facing the light side.

2. Treatment method: If it is a potted plant, move it to a cool place immediately, spray water to cool it down and reduce direct sunlight, and it will recover after a period of time. If planted outdoors, take shading measures immediately, such as shade nets, to provide proper ventilation and cooling, which is conducive to leaf recovery.

2. Pests and diseases

1. Reason: If the yellow cicada may be infected with the disease of wax scale, it will affect its growth and development, causing the yellow cicada plant to be malnourished, its physiological metabolism to gradually weaken, and the leaves to slowly turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: If pests and diseases have occurred, immediately cut off the damaged and yellowed leaves and use appropriate pesticides to spray and eliminate pests. After the situation improves, it is also necessary to use pesticides to prevent pests and diseases on time and appropriately.

3. The temperature is too low

1. Reason: The yellow cicada is a thermophilic plant. Too low a temperature will cause its leaves to turn yellow or even fall off.

2. Treatment method: Yellow leaves caused by low ambient temperature need to be kept warm. It is best to place them in an environment with a temperature above 22 degrees Celsius and wait for improvement. If the ambient temperature in winter is at least 10 degrees Celsius, do not keep it outdoors over the winter, as it will get frostbite.

4. Too much watering

1. Reason: Too much watering will cause the roots to be soaked in water, restricting its respiratory function and causing problems with nutrient supply, leading to the appearance of yellow leaves.

2. Treatment method: drain the lower part and let it dry. If the yellowing leaves are serious, remove the plant from the pot and dry the soil in a ventilated place. After the condition improves, water the soil as soon as it becomes dry. Especially in winter, water less frequently and do not water blindly and in large quantities.
