Cultivation method of longevity begonia

Cultivation method of longevity begonia

Habits

The first is moisture, it likes moist conditions. The second is fertilizer, which it needs at certain times. Another thing is sunlight. It is not okay to be completely without light, but it also avoids strong light. There are also some requirements for soil quality.

Specific methods

Water: The first principle to follow is to adjust the specific amount and frequency of watering according to its specific growth conditions and temperature changes. For example, during the germination period, you need to water less and keep the soil in the pot slightly dry, because if it is too moist, root rot will easily occur. During the vigorous growth period, the frequency of watering should be increased, once every two days, and water should be sprayed around frequently.

Fertilizer: Fertilize according to the color of its leaves and the specific conditions of its growth. Be careful not to use too much fertilizer, otherwise its leaves will grow too long and the flowering process will be affected. Before flowering, applying some fertilizers rich in P and K elements will help improve the quality of its flowers.

Sunlight: During the hot summer months, don't expose it to direct sunlight that is too strong, otherwise it will get sunburned. As for other times, when the light is not so strong, it can be allowed to receive appropriate light, which will promote its development.

Soil: When preparing its cultivation soil, we can mix it with river sand, sawdust and leaf mold.

Temperature: Because it hates extreme heat, it should be placed in a cool place in summer and a warm place in winter.

Precautions

When watering, be careful not to water from the top, otherwise the stems and leaves will easily accumulate water and rot.

When using fertilizer, the concentration should not be too high, and the fertilizer should preferably be well-rotted.
