Causes and treatments for yellow leaves of peace trees

Causes and treatments for yellow leaves of peace trees

1. Improper watering

1. Reason: Excessive watering or too little watering may cause the leaves of the peace lily to turn yellow. Overwatering can cause waterlogging at the roots and incomplete water absorption. Poorly drained soil can cause root waterlogging and rot, and young leaves can turn yellow. If the plant is watered less or the soil is too dry due to hot weather, its roots will lack water and the old leaves will begin to turn yellow first.

2. Treatment method: If you water too much, you need to adjust the watering rhythm in time. The soil in the pot just needs to be moist, no need to water it heavily. If there is too little water and the soil is dry, water it thoroughly in time and increase the amount of water until the leaves improve.

2. Lack of Iron

1. Cause: Yellow leaf disease caused by iron deficiency is an important reason for its yellow leaves. When iron deficiency occurs, the tip of the leaves begins to turn yellow, and slowly the whole leaves also turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: Appropriately use an aqueous solution prepared with ferrous sulfate, urea, etc., and apply it evenly to the plants together with fertilizers. It is best to use some compound fertilizers with other trace elements to increase plant resistance, and use ferrous sulfate solution regularly until the situation improves.

3. Inappropriate light and temperature

1. Reason: When the light is strong in summer, long-term exposure to strong light will cause the leaves of the peace thyme to turn yellow. Similarly, if the temperature is too low, especially outdoors, below 5°C, the peace lily will suffer frost damage and its leaves will turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: In the hot summer, the peace lily can be placed in a cool environment for maintenance, or appropriate shade and watering can be provided to cool it down. In winter, the peace lily tree should be moved indoors and the temperature should be kept at least above 10℃ to avoid frost damage.
