Why do the leaves of the green radish turn yellow?

Why do the leaves of the green radish turn yellow?

1. The temperature is too low

Whether it is hydroponically grown or soil grown, as long as the surrounding growth temperature is too low and exceeds the suitable growth range, especially in winter, when the temperature is below 5°C for a long time, the plant will not be able to bear it, causing frost damage and yellowing of the leaves.

2. Strong sunlight

Green plants need sunlight to grow, but sudden strong light will irritate the plants, causing burns on the leaves and turning yellow. In severe cases, the leaves will become scorched or even black.

3. Lack of sunlight

A semi-shady environment is most suitable. If the growing environment is too dark and there is no sunlight for a long time, yellowing will occur due to lack of light, and chlorophyll cannot be synthesized, causing the entire plant to grow weak and the leaves to turn yellow naturally.

4. Water and fertilizer are too concentrated

Although there is a certain demand for water and fertilizer during growth, improper application will cause damage to the plant's root system.

5. Lack of water and fertilizer

Without sufficient water and fertilizer supply during the growth process, the branches and leaves cannot grow lushly, the new leaves will be too small, and the old leaves will turn yellow.

6. The water has not been changed for a long time

This is for hydroponics. If the culture water is not replaced for a long time, the water will become turbid, the roots will rot and the leaves will turn yellow.
