Breeding methods and precautions of Gypsophila manshurica

Breeding methods and precautions of Gypsophila manshurica

1. Soil

It is recommended to use loose, nutritious, well-drained slightly alkaline calcareous soil or gravel loam as the potting soil.

2. Lighting

It likes sunlight very much. There must be sufficient sunlight in winter, and proper shading is required when the sunlight is strong in summer. If there is not enough sunlight, it will directly affect its flowering.

3. Temperature

Its favorite temperature is 15℃-25℃. When the temperature is higher than 30℃, it will easily cause flower deformities. The lowest temperature at night should not be lower than 10℃. If the growth environment is lower than 10℃ for a long time and there is not enough sunlight, the plant will stop growing.

4. Watering

It likes water very much, so it still needs to be given sufficient water and nutrients after pinching. After the petals grow out, the amount of water can be reduced appropriately.

5. Fertilization

The types of fertilizers it likes are mainly nitrogen fertilizers in the early stage and phosphorus and potassium fertilizers in the later stage.

6. Notes

Gypsophila is native to the Mediterranean, so it prefers a warm and sunny environment. It is shade-tolerant, cold-tolerant and drought-tolerant, but it cannot be placed in the shade for a long time.
