What to do if the leaves of the money tree turn yellow

What to do if the leaves of the money tree turn yellow

1. Reduce watering

Reason: Watering is irregular during maintenance and management. If it is too frequent or the amount of water is too large, water will accumulate in the potting soil, the roots will not be able to breathe well, and they will easily rot, causing the leaves to turn yellow and dry.

Solution: Stop watering and move the plant to a well-ventilated place to allow the water to evaporate as quickly as possible. In the later stage, watering is only needed once every 10 to 15 days, not too often.

2. Increase Lighting

Reason: If the plant is not exposed to light for a long time during maintenance and is placed in a cool place, the leaves will not be able to receive light and will easily turn yellow.

Solution: Move it to a place with sufficient diffuse light and give it six to eight hours of light every day. If there is long-term rainy weather, you need to supplement light indoors so that it can grow healthily.

3. Control temperature

Reason: It is a plant that likes a warm environment. The most suitable temperature is between 20 and 32 degrees. If it is higher than 35 degrees or lower than 10 degrees, it will easily lead to slow growth and yellowing of leaves.

Solution: Try to control the temperature within the acceptable range. Sprinkle water to cool it down when it is high. Place it indoors and control the temperature when it is low.

4. Pest Control

Reason: It is easy to cause damage by scale insects during the growth period, and the pests can cause the leaves to turn yellow.

Solution: When scale insects are found, they should be killed promptly. If there are large numbers, pesticides should be sprayed to eliminate them.
