How to plant sweet potatoes when they sprout

1. Prepare the soil

After the sweet potatoes sprout, they should be planted in suitable soil. The soil needs to be fertile and maintain a certain degree of air permeability so that water accumulation is not likely to occur. In addition, it also needs to meet relatively cool conditions.

2. Planting method

Wash the sprouted sweet potatoes, then place them in a well-ventilated place to dry naturally. After they are dry, cut off the sprouted parts, soak them in water and wait for them to take root. After the roots have grown, they can be planted in the soil. Keep a distance of at least 30 cm between each planting pit.

3. Planting and maintenance

After planting sweet potatoes, they need to be watered thoroughly to help them take root. In the early stages of planting, they need to be watered every day. The amount does not need to be much, just keep the soil moist. When the young shoots have basically grown up in the later stages, the number of waterings can be reduced to about once a week.
