What to do if the leaves of Daphne koreana turn yellow

What to do if the leaves of Daphne koreana turn yellow

1. Temperature changes

Reason: If the living environment changes, and the temperature drops suddenly, the plant will not be able to bear it, which will damage its capillary roots and cause the leaves to turn yellow. Excessively hot temperatures can also have an impact on it.

Solution: Pay attention to weather changes. If the temperature drops significantly, move the plant indoors and place it in a well-lit place. If the surrounding temperature rises, place it in a well-ventilated place to promote air circulation and lower the temperature of the plant.

2. Excessive watering

Reason: It is not moisture-resistant and cannot withstand waterlogging. If water is not applied according to the growth conditions of the plant, excessive watering will cause water accumulation in the potting soil, and the root system will not be able to bear it, causing the leaves to turn yellow, and in severe cases will fall off and rot.

Solution: Place the potting soil in a ventilated place to speed up the evaporation of water and reduce the degree of waterlogging. After that, water the plants moderately, with the frequency determined according to seasonal and climatic changes.

3. Excessive fertilization

Cause: The application of fertilizer exceeded the actual demand, causing fertilizer damage, restricting the growth of the plant and causing the leaves to turn yellow and fall off.

Solution: Apply according to the different growth conditions of the plants. The dosage should be less and the concentration should not be too high. If fertilizer damage occurs, pour clean water to drain it out.
