What to do if the leaves of the fortune tree turn yellow

What to do if the leaves of the fortune tree turn yellow

1. Proper watering

Reason: The root system of the money tree is relatively weak. During the maintenance process, the moisture content should be kept slightly dry, and watering should not be excessive. The indoor evaporation in the home is relatively small. If watering is too frequent, the soil in the pot will be in a state of waterlogging for a long time. It will cause its root system to rot, and further cause the trunk to rot. At this time, the leaves will turn yellow, and if the situation is too serious, they will fall off.

Solution: If it is caused by moisture, you need to regulate the moisture. If you water too much, reduce the amount and frequency of watering, and its new leaves will gradually grow back to normal.

2. Reasonable lighting

This type of leaf yellowing appears as a whitish yellow, a yellowish white.

3. Scientific fertilization

Reason: Mainly due to applying large amounts of fertilizer, concentrated fertilizer or uncomposted fertilizer, which will also cause the leaves of the money tree to turn yellow. If the plant is not fertilized or the soil is worked on for more than three years, the leaves will turn yellow, which is caused by lack of fertilizer.

Solution: If too much fertilizer is applied or it is too concentrated, you can improve the fertilizer by watering more or changing the soil. If it is lacking in fertilizer, you can supplement its fertilizer needs by applying top dressing.

4. Prevention and control of pests and diseases

Reason: For example, after aphids and scale insects pierce and suck, its leaves will also turn yellow.

Solution: If the number is small, you can remove the leaves. If all the leaves of the plant are affected by pests and diseases, you need to use corresponding pesticides to spray them to inhibit the yellowing of the leaves.
