Planting methods and precautions for dianthus

Planting methods and precautions for dianthus

1. Planting time

Dianthus is best planted in spring or autumn. If there is time in autumn, it is recommended to sow in autumn. Because fall is one of the best times for seeds to germinate. It is best not to sow in winter because the temperature is very low and the seeds are not easy to germinate. Even if the seeds germinate in time, an environment with too low temperature is not suitable for the growth of young plants.

2. Planting Method

1. Prepare the soil: When planting dianthus, you need to use slightly alkaline, loose and breathable soil. Before planting, lay them out flat in the sun to dry and disinfect them.

2. Prepare seeds: When planting it, use healthy seeds without defects. Before planting, you need to screen the seeds and remove the shriveled seeds and those with worm holes.

3. For sowing: prepare a flower pot with good air permeability and put the dried soil into the pot. After that, spread the seeds evenly on the soil surface in the pot and cover them with a thin layer of soil.

4. Post-maintenance: After sowing, it needs to be placed in a warm place. It is best to keep the temperature between 21-22℃, which is the optimal temperature for their germination. Before germination, you need to spray water on the soil regularly to ensure that there is a certain amount of moisture in the soil. This is also what the seeds need to germinate.
