How to cultivate Araucaria bonsai, can it freeze to death in winter?

1. Breeding methods

1. Soil: When breeding, you need to mix garden soil, leaf mold and river sand to prepare the soil. This will ensure that it is loose, breathable and has sufficient nutrients. Please note that it must be disinfected before use after preparation to avoid the presence of insect eggs or pathogens.

2. Watering: It prefers to grow in a humid environment, so it should be watered regularly during management, especially in the dry season in summer when water evaporation is large and water must be replenished in time. However, the amount of watering each time should not be too much to avoid water accumulation.

3. Fertilization: Its growth rate is relatively fast and it requires a large amount of fertilizer. During the peak growing season, it is necessary to apply thin fertilizers frequently for supplementary fertilizer. It is best to apply fertilizer every 15-20 days. You can use dilute cake fertilizer water or nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer.

4. Light: Usually place it in a bright place so that it can get sufficient light. When there is strong light, block it or move it to a semi-shaded place. Do not expose it to strong light for a long time, otherwise the leaves will easily turn yellow.

2. Can you freeze to death in winter?

It grows well in a warm environment, with the most suitable temperature being between 15-25 degrees. Be careful when the temperature is too high or too low. Especially in the low temperatures of winter, if the plants are not cold-resistant and do not control the temperature in time or take warming measures, they will be frozen to death. After the temperature drops, it should be moved indoors and the temperature should be controlled above 7 degrees.
