According to legend, a long time ago. In the deep mountains and old forests of Wangjingtuo lived a father and daughter who made a living by hunting. The father was named Ma Shanhe and the daughter was named Haitang. One day, Haitang followed her father to Wangjingtuo to hunt. On the way, they met a ferocious tiger. The tiger opened its bloody mouth and pounced on her father Ma Shanhe. In order to save her father, Haitang risked her life, but due to the disparity in strength, she died in the end. The villagers who were chopping wood, herding sheep, and picking herbs on the mountain came over in response to the call. They worked together to defeat the tiger and save Haitang. On the way home, Haitang kept bleeding, and the places where her blood had dripped were filled with fiery red mountain flowers. In order to commemorate Haitang who sacrificed herself to save her father, people named this flower Haitang.

The Legend of Begonia Flower II

Legend has it that there was a flower goddess named Jade Girl in the Jade Emperor’s garden. Jade Girl thought Chang’e was gentle and beautiful, so she became good friends with Chang’e and often went to Guanghan Palace to play with Chang’e. Once when she went to Guanghan Palace, the Jade Girl saw a fairy flower she had never seen before. The buds were red, the petals were light pink, and the branches grew oval fruits that were yellow in color. And it exudes a rich aroma. The girl was deeply attracted. She thought that there were all kinds of flowers in the Jade Emperor's imperial garden except this beautiful fairy flower, so she asked Chang'e to give her a pot of it so that she could plant it in the imperial garden. Chang'e refused, explaining that the flowers were a birthday gift from Buddha to the Queen Mother. Because this flower is cold-resistant, it is planted in Guanghan Palace. The Jade Girl couldn't care less and asked again and again, and finally Chang'e agreed to her request.

Unfortunately, as soon as the Jade Maiden left Guanghan Palace with the flowers, she ran into the Queen Mother. When the Queen Mother saw the flower in Chang'e's hand, she flew into a rage and scolded Chang'e. As she spoke, she snatched the stone pestle from the Jade Rabbit and knocked the Jade Girl and the flower in her hand down to the mortal world. The pot of flowers fell into a garden, which was an oxidized old man's forehead. The old man had a daughter named Haitang, who was as beautiful as a flower. When the old man saw the fairy flower falling from the sky, he was afraid of something going wrong, so he quickly called his daughter for help, shouting, "Haitang, Haitang!" Haitang ran over in a hurry. Seeing that my father was holding a pot of flowers in his hand, I shouted, "Begonia." She asked happily: "Dad, is this flower called Begonia?" The old man had never seen this kind of flower. Looking at his beautiful daughter, he simply called the flower "Begonia".

When the crabapple blossom came to the human world, its fragrant soul drifted away with the wind. From then on, its original natural fragrance disappeared and it was no longer fragrant.
