Winter meat breeding methods and precautions

1. Growing succulents in winter - keeping warm

When growing succulents in winter and the outdoor temperature is below 5℃, move them indoors in time to overwinter. When caring for them indoors, be sure to keep them away from heating and air-conditioning outlets. If the indoor temperature is too low, you can put the succulents in a foam box to keep them warm, put a plastic film on the box, and open it for ventilation at noon when the temperature is highest every day.

2. Growing succulents in winter - controlling watering

When growing succulents in winter, it is best to wait until the soil is completely dry, then water the plants a little bit along the edge of the pot, or wait until the leaves of the plants wilt before watering them. If the maintenance temperature is low, the plants will go dormant and you can simply stop watering them. Also, please note that in winter, you should water the plants at noon when the temperature is highest. When watering succulents, you should let them dry in the sun for a day in advance to ensure that the water temperature and soil temperature are consistent.

3. Growing succulents in winter - more sun exposure

When growing succulents in winter, they must be exposed to plenty of sunlight, for as many hours as possible. If there is insufficient light indoors, you can set up fill lights above the succulents to provide additional light to prevent them from growing too tall and fading in color. If there is insufficient light indoors and no fill light, you must water less to prevent the succulents from growing too tall.

4. Growing succulents in winter - do not fertilize

When growing succulents in winter, do not apply fertilizer if the indoor temperature is low. After fertilization, the succulents in a dormant period will not only be unable to absorb the fertilizer, but will also easily cause fertilizer damage, which is not worth the loss!
