Cultivation methods and precautions of Jade Lilac

Cultivation methods and precautions of Jade Lilac

1. Maintenance methods

1. Soil: Jade lilac likes to grow in places where the soil layer is thick, strong, loose and fertile. Red soil is the best choice for growing jade lilac. It has good drainage and air permeability, which is more conducive to its growth.

2. Water: It is a drought-intolerant plant, and sufficient water during the growth period can help it grow better. However, you should also avoid excessive water accumulation. Appropriate watering is best.

3. Nutrients: Generally, organic fertilizer can be used. You can dissolve the organic fertilizer in water and then pour it into the soil when watering. This can promote the absorption of nutrients by the lilac.

4. Light: Jade lilac prefers a cooler place and is not suitable for direct exposure to strong light. Diffused light is best. When it is flowering, it should be provided with sufficient light to enable it to grow better during the flowering period.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Pruning: The root system is relatively thin and fragile. After planting for a period of time, the branches and leaves should be properly pruned to avoid damage to the plant due to the dense branches and leaves when it is windy.

2. Reproduction: Jade lilac is generally propagated by seeds, and plump seeds are selected when the fruits are ripe. Sow the seeds in soil with sufficient nutrients, then sprinkle water to make the soil layer moist, and new shoots will grow in about twenty days.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Black spot disease: Black spot disease is a common disease of lilac. If it is not prevented in time, it will affect the normal growth of the plant. Just spray it with diluted thiophanate-methyl.

2. Root rot: Although Jade lilac is a water-loving plant, do not allow water to accumulate in the pot during watering. Long-term accumulation of water will cause root rot and affect growth. Pay attention to water control and cut off rotten roots as soon as possible.

IV. Other issues

1. How to survive the winter: It has a certain ability to resist low temperatures and can grow normally when the temperature is between nine and ten degrees Celsius. However, when the temperature drops to zero degrees Celsius, the plants will be frozen and die, so in winter they should be moved to a ventilated place indoors and the temperature should be controlled well.

2. Can it be exposed to rain: Jade lilac can be exposed to rain. It is not drought-tolerant and is a water-loving plant. Rainwater can wash away the dust on its branches and leaves, making its appearance more fresh and beautiful.
