Agarwood tree planting

Agarwood tree planting

1. Planting time

Agarwood trees are generally suitable for planting in spring. From March to April, the temperature gradually warms up. This is beneficial to its growth, especially planting on rainy days, which can increase the survival rate. If it is bagged seedlings, the planting time requirement is not high.

2. Planting Method

1. Digging a hole: Dig a hole before planting the seedlings. The pit is generally 50 cm long and wide and 40 cm deep. After digging, fill some topsoil at the bottom of the pit. The topsoil is relatively loose and rich in humus, which is an ideal base fertilizer.

2. Planting: When planting, make sure the seedlings are upright and the roots are fully expanded. Then start filling the soil, layer by layer, to ensure sufficient contact between the roots and the soil. Do not compact the soil too tightly and water it to establish the roots, which can increase its survival rate.

3. Water and fertilizer: Agarwood trees have high requirements for water and fertilizer. Water enough to ensure the soil is moist, and also increase the humidity of the air. Generally, only compound fertilizer is chosen for fertilization, and it can be applied 4-5 times a year. Be careful not to apply it on the tree trunk.

4. Pruning: The branches of agarwood should be pruned every year. Leave some side branches appropriately and start pruning upwards as the seedlings grow taller. In addition, weeds should be removed to prevent them from absorbing water and nutrients from the soil.
