If you just bought a jade fan and it is a bare-root succulent, you should plant it in a flowerpot with moist soil first. Do not water it yet, and place it in a cool and ventilated place to let it grow. Wait a week before watering again and increase the light appropriately. If it is a succulent plant in a pot, you can maintain it normally.

2. How to take care of the newly bought jade fan

1. Light: The jade fan has certain requirements for the time and intensity of light. It likes sufficient and bright scattered light. The longer the scattered light exposure time, the better. Never expose it to direct strong sunlight, otherwise it will be like its brother Jade Dew, and will be sunburned or killed in minutes.

2. Temperature: The most suitable growth temperature for jade fan is 19-22℃. It is afraid of both cold and heat. In summer, it is necessary to pull the shade net to cool down. In winter, it must be kept indoors for safe wintering, and the maintenance temperature must be kept above 10℃.

3. Watering: Jade fan is drought-resistant, but it cannot lack water during the growing period. In spring and autumn, water it thoroughly immediately after the soil in the pot is completely dry. In summer, when the temperature is high, the jade fan will go dormant, so you need to control the water appropriately. In winter, when the temperature is low, you should reduce the amount of watering and keep the soil in the pot dry.

4. Fertilization: When planting jade fans, you can mix a small amount of bone meal into the soil at the bottom of the pot as base fertilizer. During the growing season in spring and autumn, you can water the pot with cake fertilizer water once a month along the edge of the pot, and the concentration must be light.
