How many days does it take for baby's breath seeds to germinate? How to grow them after germination?

1. How many days does it take to germinate?

Generally speaking, after planting the seeds of baby's breath, they will germinate in 3-4 days if managed properly. Sometimes it may take a little longer, but most of the time they will germinate in a week. If you want it to germinate faster, you need to control the germination temperature at around 15-20℃, and the temperature should not be too low.

2. Maintenance after germination

1. Gradually expose to light: The seeds cannot be exposed to light before they germinate. After germination, it can be gradually exposed to light. You can provide it with some weak scattered light, but it should not be exposed to too strong sunlight. If you are outdoors, you need to provide some shade at noon to avoid sunburn on the newly grown seedlings.

2. Replenish water: After the seeds germinate, they need to be watered appropriately. The soil should not be too dry, otherwise the seedlings will wither due to lack of water. However, do not water too much and keep the soil moist. If there is too much water, its root system will be damaged. You can use the spraying method to replenish water, or use the immersion method. Watering will impact the seedlings and easily cause lodging.

3. Appropriate thinning: Generally, when the seedlings grow two leaves, if the plants are too close to each other, the weaker seedlings should be pulled out. There should be at least 3cm distance between the seedlings, otherwise long-term squeezing will affect the growth of the seedlings.
