How to sow with high snow wheel

How to sow with high snow wheel

Seeding management

The high snow wheel has a strong adaptability to the environment and can be planted all year round, but it is generally most suitable to sow it in spring or autumn. This is because the seeds of this flower are very delicate and need to be planted in warm seasons. It is best to sow them from January to April or August to October each year. The high snow wheels planted during this period have a long flowering period, bright colors, and a large number of flowers.

It is best to use fertile soil with good drainage when planting high snow wheels. Sprinkle the flower seeds evenly on the soil, and then cover them with a thin layer of soil. After sowing, you should pay attention to watering frequently to keep the soil moist. The seeds will germinate in about seven days. The seedlings can be transplanted after they grow leaves. If they are cultivated in the open field, pay attention to controlling the spacing between the plants. Generally, a distance of 20-30 cm is more appropriate.

Other maintenance

The tall snow wheel cannot tolerate severe cold and needs to be moved to a warm room for maintenance in winter. If the temperature is below 4°C, the tall snow wheel will begin to hibernate or even die. The air humidity should be kept at a high level. If the humidity is too low, it will affect the flowering period and cause the flowers to wither prematurely. However, at night, you need to reduce spraying water to keep the leaves and flowers dry. The tall snow wheel likes light and needs sufficient sunlight, but be careful not to expose it to direct high-temperature sunlight. Fertilize frequently and in small amounts, do not apply heavy fertilizers at one time, and after fertilizing, be sure to keep the leaves and petals dry.

Precautions

Pay attention to shading the seedlings to a certain extent and do not let them be directly exposed to strong sunlight, otherwise it will affect the growth of the seedlings and cause their leaves to wilt and fall off. Pay attention to maintaining the temperature of the soil, especially right after sowing, the temperature should be kept between 15-25℃. In addition, when planting high snow wheels, avoid water accumulation. The root system of this flower is very fragile. Any water accumulation will cause serious root rot, seriously endangering the growth and development of the plant and even directly leading to the death of the plant. When watering, be careful not to pour water directly on the plant, and don't let the high snow wheels be directly exposed to rain. This will cause various problems such as leaf falling, premature flower withering, root rot, etc., which is very detrimental to the healthy growth of the plant.
