How to grow orchids with weak seedlings and few roots? What kind of planting material is good?

1. Breeding methods

1. Temperature: Weak orchid seedlings are more sensitive to the environment. When maintaining it, it is recommended to provide it with a temperature condition of 20-25℃. Try not to let the temperature drop below 12℃ at night. This is very good for its growth.

2. Light: Weak seedlings need to be kept in a clean environment, so the light in the breeding environment must not be too strong. It is best to provide it with only a small amount of diffuse light, which can inhibit transpiration and reduce the burden on its roots.

3. Watering: For weak seedlings with few roots, too much watering is not needed. Because the small root system is not enough for it to absorb a lot of water, overwatering will only cause water accumulation in the planting material, which will lead to root rot. Generally, water it once every 10-15 days, and it is best to keep the planting material slightly dry.

4. Fertilization: Weak seedlings have very few roots and absorb nutrients at a limited rate. The nutrients in the planting material are sufficient for them to absorb. Therefore, additional fertilizer is generally not required.

2. Planting material recommendation

When raising weak orchid seedlings, you need to use planting materials that are soft and breathable enough, have moderate fertility, and contain a certain amount of orchid bacteria. If conditions permit, you can use the resurrection soil. The large amount of orchid bacteria contained in it can help orchid plants absorb nutrients and water, thereby growing new roots faster.
